Abstract
⺠The effect of particle surface moisture during fluid bed agglomeration was studied. ⺠Particle surface moisture content was predicted by population balance model. ⺠Growth kinetics were verified using glass beads and maltodextrin solution as binder. ⺠Correlation shown between simulated moisture content and experimental growth rate. ⺠Proposed model unable to predict the effect of varying binder concentrations.
