Abstract
⺠Flavonoid enrichment is affected by impregnation conditions and apple characteristics. ⺠Higher solution uptake in the inner apple cortex. ⺠Impregnation results depend on porosity, stiffness and cell morphology. ⺠X-ray analysis enabled characterization of pore size distribution.
