Abstract
⺠A 3D CFD model of bottle emptying processes is described. ⺠Emptying time predictions are more accurate compared with existing approaches. ⺠Effects of bottle parameters on emptying times can be assessed. ⺠Outlet diameter, surface tension and inclination effects are investigated. ⺠Freely available open source CFD software is used.
