Abstract
► Progressive freeze-concentration (PFC) was effective for low concentration sample. ► For highly concentrated sample, however, a decrease in yield was observed. ► By applying partial melting of ice, the yield could be improved to necessary level. ► This overcomes the major drawback in PFC to extend its practical applicability.
