Abstract
												⺠The water transport properties of artificial cell walls was investigated. ⺠The structure of artificial cell wall was shown by AFM and SEM. ⺠The water retention was higher for pure cellulose. ⺠Bacterial cellulose with pectin and xyloglucan has low water conductivity.
