Abstract
⺠NDT model to estimate translucency in mangosteen is built by near infrared transmission. ⺠Translucent area of flesh section surfaces is representative of translucent content. ⺠The model with spectra from fruit position with largest flesh segment was best. ⺠The horizontal stem-calyx fruit axis was optimal fruit orientation. ⺠A 135° angle from the light source relative to detector was optimal configuration.
