Abstract
⺠Using visible-NIR spectroscopy for on-line determination of sugar content in pears. ⺠We compare four variable selection methods to identify the best for prediction. ⺠Appropriate variable selection can enhance the performance of model. ⺠GA-SPA-MLR method is sufficiently suitable for industrial application.
