Abstract
⺠The formation of shellac and gelatin composite film could be formed by the H-bond. ⺠The composite film with 50% w/w of gelatin had the highest strength and elongation. ⺠The composite film could modify the coating efficiency of shellac over substrate. ⺠It made them for wider range of applications in food and pharmaceutical industries.
