Abstract
► Gy's model for the fundamental error assumes independent particle selections. ► From a theoretical standpoint particle selections do not have to be independent. ► Experimental results show that Gy's formula provides inaccurate results. ► More accurate predictions may be possible in a new complexity-based framework.
