Abstract
⺠A wet coefficient of restitution model is implemented in an open-source DEM tool. ⺠DEM studies are performed to study the effect of liquid coating on fluidized beds. ⺠The effect of coating viscosity and thickness on fluidization behavior is studied. ⺠Fluidization behavior is changed and slugs are formed as viscosity is increased. ⺠A wet coefficient of restitution and relative collision velocity are quantified.
