Abstract
⺠Study the effect of concentration and type of insoluble diluents on the release profile of tablets containing HPMC matrices. ⺠Study the compression behavior of the tablets containing insoluble diluents namely MCC and DCP using Heckel and Kawakita equations. ⺠Investigate the effect of compression forces on the release. ⺠Increase in concentration of insoluble diluent causes decrease in the drug release. ⺠During compression MCC shows good plastic deformation, densification and granule fragmentation pattern than DCP an also there is decrease in drug release as we increase the compression force.
