Abstract
In this paper, the buckling analysis of symmetrically laminated composite plates with internal supports was proposed. Both the higher-order shear deformation theory and pb-2 Ritz displacement functions, corresponding to an arbitrary edge support were enclosed in the proposed method. The buckling behavior of symmetrically laminated composite plates with line internal support and, circular internal supports were investigated under biaxial compression loading. Numerical results highlighted the effect of lamination angles, edge conditions, aspect ratio, and internal supports on critical buckling load. It was confirmed that the present method was an effective one and could be widely used to analyze the buckling load and to predict the buckling characteristics of laminated composite plates with internal supports.
