Abstract
- We derive energy savings factor through improved airflow performance and efficiency in a massively energy consuming high-density data center as well as individual design factor's effectiveness for overall, objective performance index.
- Standard module for analyzing IT server room's thermal efficiency is configured by a minimum of two cold aisle and two hot aisle.
- Four airflow performance metrics were computed with CFD modeling of 46 different design alternatives to evaluate the thermal environment in a typical data center module. Overall design adequacy is evaluated in consideration to individual effects.
