Abstract
⺠We model the aerodynamic noise from circular cylinder covered by metal foam. ⺠Thorough parameter study of metal foam is carried out. ⺠The noise is reduced effectively without sacrificing the aerodynamic performance. ⺠The noise reduction is caused by the control of metal foam to airflow. ⺠This new approach is promising for aerodynamic noise control of high-speed train.
