Abstract
⺠Conducted a critical analysis of energy norms existing in literature. ⺠Established criteria for positive definitiveness. ⺠Established criteria for not supporting unphysical growth. ⺠Proved that Myers' norm can support spurious growth. ⺠Proved that Chu's norm belongs to a family of norms that do not support unphysical growth.
