Abstract
The diagnostic parameter relationships are derived on the basis of the machine's heat balance. The diagnostic parameter considered is the temperature change rate during the running-in period of the machine. Theoretical values of the diagnostic parameter are compared with those obtained empirically. The residual service life of the machine calculated by these two approaches is also analyzed. It is shown that the theoretical equation is validated and can be adapted to machine diagnostics.
