Abstract
⺠Conventional flow regime based method to estimate interfacial area concentration in adiabatic bubbly flow does not include bubble interaction mechanisms and always underestimates the experimental data, on average â48%. ⺠Conventional method can predict incorrect axial trend for interfacial area concentration, while interfacial area transport equation always predicts the correct trend. ⺠The interfacial area transport equation significantly increases the agreement with the experiment data to ±8% by including bubble interaction mechanisms.
