Abstract
Hatred is a negative sentiment, implying the wish to hurt or to kill a person. Original and universal, it is found in several types of psychopathological disorders (normal, neurotic, borderline, psychotic). Ignored by most of psychiatric handbooks and litterature, it is a prevalent topic (concept) in psychoanalytical litterature. Unfortunately there is no rating scale to quantify these cognitive and emotional states or traits. The assessment of such a sentiment would probably improve the prediction of dangerosity and violence, and the assessment of the efficacy of cognitive treatments.
