Abstract
âºBlocking oxytocin receptors in the nucleus accumbens after a maternal experience postpartum causes increased latency to become maternal on retention testing. âºBlocking oxytocin receptors in the nucleus accumbens decreases amount of time dams spend nest building on retention testing. âºOxytocin receptors in the nucleus accumbens shell play a role in the consolidation of maternal memory.
