Abstract
⺠Physiological processes promoted by sleep disruption are sex-dependent. ⺠Acute and chronic sleep loss induced hyperalgesia in male and female mice. ⺠Nociceptive responses were more evident in sleep restricted females. ⺠Sleep recovery did not reverse the hyperalgesia induced by chronic sleep loss.
