Abstract
Allele and haplotype frequencies of a promoter polymorphism in the gene encoding tryptophan hydroxylase (TPH2) did not differ in 83 suicidal schizophrenic patients compared with 170 non-suicidal schizophrenic patients. These findings suggest that these 5â² marker haplotypes in the TPH2 gene do not influence suicidal behavior in schizophrenia.
