Abstract
⺠We assessed differences between kinship and non-kinship foster placements. ⺠Mothers more positive towards non-kinship foster placement. ⺠Better cooperation between parents and foster parents in non-kinship foster care. ⺠Less behavioral problems in kinship foster children. ⺠The number of previous out-of-home placements explains differences in mental health.
