Abstract
⺠The prevalence of child maltreatment in an incarcerated sample was surveyed. ⺠The relationships between child maltreatment and offense types were examined. ⺠Almost 90% of the participants reported more than one form of child maltreatment. ⺠Childhood physical abuse significantly predicted violent crime.
