Abstract
⺠Short breaks can significantly promote wellbeing for siblings of disabled children. ⺠Siblings often enjoy other pastimes whilst their brother or sister has a short break. ⺠Reported benefits include more attention from parents and breaks from providing care. ⺠Parents and siblings describe breaks from challenging behaviours and reduced stress. ⺠More rarely siblings report negative feelings such as worry, guilt or jealousy.
