Abstract
⺠We examine the coverage of Chinese-medium newspapers on runaway in China. ⺠Family- and school-related problems are the primary reasons for runaway in China. ⺠Other triggers to runaway include Internet addiction and searching for parents. ⺠Family-school preventive interventions including media education are recommended. ⺠Interagency collaboration and more research on runaway are also recommended.
