Abstract
⺠Attention plays an important role in the onset and regulation of emotions in people without disabilities. ⺠We investigate this role for people with severe or profound ID. ⺠No relationship between attention and the onset of emotion. ⺠Less attention to negative than to positive emotions which points to emotion regulation. ⺠As in the population of people without disabilities, lower HR was associated with attention.
