Abstract
⺠We investigated social approach behaviour in children with WS. ⺠Cluster analysis was applied to explore heterogeneity of social approach behaviour. ⺠Substantial variability existed in the social profile of individuals with WS. ⺠Response inhibition skill was the strongest indicator of social approach behaviour. ⺠Findings provide support for a frontal lobe hypothesis of social approach.
