Abstract
► We investigated social approach behaviour in children with WS. ► Cluster analysis was applied to explore heterogeneity of social approach behaviour. ► Substantial variability existed in the social profile of individuals with WS. ► Response inhibition skill was the strongest indicator of social approach behaviour. ► Findings provide support for a frontal lobe hypothesis of social approach.
