Abstract
⺠We investigated reading of polymorphemic words in Dutch deaf children and adults. ⺠Deaf children perform below hearing peers in reading polymorphemic words. ⺠This delay is larger for derivational words as compared to compounds. ⺠Deaf adults are as accurate, but slow as compared to hearing adults.
