Abstract
⺠Adolescents with intellectual disability have poorer postural balance than age-matched controls. ⺠Adolescents with intellectual disability do not rely more on vision to maintain their postural balance than to their peers without intellectual disability. ⺠Muscle performances play only a minor role in postural balance performance for adolescents. ⺠It appears as if measures to improve balance and strength are required already at a young age for people with intellectual disability.
