Abstract
⺠The teacher version of the effort and task motivation scales has good reliability. ⺠The parent version of the effort and task motivation scales has good reliability. ⺠Both versions of the two scales correlated positively with cognitive development. ⺠Both versions of the two scales correlated negatively with behavior problems.
