Abstract
⺠We examine two pathologies: hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP) and spastic diplegia (SD). ⺠Clinical gait analysis was conducted using a full body kinematic model. ⺠The results highlight different compensations at the upper-body between HSP and SD. ⺠HSP used spine movement while individuals with DP used arm movement to compensate for abnormal/altered lower limb movements ⺠Arm movements and spine movements can support the differential diagnosis between HSP and SD.
