Association between early attention-deficit/hyperactivity symptoms and current verbal and visuo-spatial short-term memory

► Early childhood inattention was associated with later short-term memory impairment. ► This association existed in both verbal and visuo-spatial short-term memory. ► The magnitudes of such associations increased with increased task difficulties. ► After controlling for other ADHD symptoms and confounders, these associations remained.
