Abstract
⺠Circadian sleep-wake rhythm of older adults with intellectual disabilities. ⺠We studied the sleep-wake rhythm in 551 older adults with ID, using actigraphy. ⺠Data were compared to a sample of older adults in the general population. ⺠The sleep-wake rhythm of older adults with ID is more fragmented and less stable than in the general population. ⺠Age, dementia, depression, neurological impairments and physical activity were associated with the sleep-wake rhythm of older adults with ID.
