Abstract
⺠We compared the levels of inflammatory molecules in persons with and without ID (intellectual disability). ⺠The levels of inflammatory molecules were significantly higher in persons with ID. ⺠The level of oxidative stress was significantly higher in persons with ID. ⺠Asymptomatic inflammation might explain premature aging in individuals with ID.
