Abstract
⺠We assessed the effects of physical exercise on general physical fitness in ID children. ⺠We analyzed the results depending on exercise participation and intellectual functioning. ⺠ID children score lower on physical fitness tests than typically developing children even after exercise participation. ⺠Better endurance and balance skills are observed in borderline ID than in mild ID children.
