Abstract
⺠Adult participants with a concurrent memory load task displayed over-selectivity. ⺠Brain responses were analyzed using an electroencephalogram (EEG). ⺠There were differences between the ERP for over-selected and under-selected stimuli. ⺠The P300b wave was associated with over-selected, but not under-selected stimuli. ⺠It is suggested that over-selectivity may not be entirely an attention-based effect.
