Abstract
ⶠEC is useful in differentiating a typically developing group from clinical groups. ⶠEC is less efficient in distinguishing ADHD from autism spectrum disorder (ASD). ⶠLow levels of EC seem to be related to developmental disorders in general. ⶠEC seems to play a role in the manifestation of symptoms of ADHD as well as ASD. ⶠHigh EC levels seem to enable children to function adequately in daily situations.
