Abstract
â¶ We describe attentional processes in interactions with people with PIMD. â¶ People with PIMD direct the attention of interaction partners infrequently. â¶ Direct support staff frequently directs the attention of clients with PIMD. â¶ Within the dyad, there is little joint attention but much shared attention.
