Abstract
ⶠWe describe attentional processes in interactions with people with PIMD. ⶠPeople with PIMD direct the attention of interaction partners infrequently. ⶠDirect support staff frequently directs the attention of clients with PIMD. ⶠWithin the dyad, there is little joint attention but much shared attention.
