Abstract
▶ We describe attentional processes in interactions with people with PIMD. ▶ People with PIMD direct the attention of interaction partners infrequently. ▶ Direct support staff frequently directs the attention of clients with PIMD. ▶ Within the dyad, there is little joint attention but much shared attention.
