Abstract
ⶠDetermining dental age may be useful in anthropology, forensics, medico-legal studies, and dentistry. ⶠThe original dental maturation indices of Nolla and Demirjian are not directly applicable to children in our setting. ⶠA linear regression model may be applied to calculate dental age. ⶠNo significant differences were found between dental and chronological age in boys with cerebral palsy, mental retardation, or Down syndrome. ⶠDental age was significantly delayed compared with chronological age in girls with cerebral palsy or Down syndrome.
