Abstract
This article reports the results of a technological re-analysis of the lithic material from Bel Poggio considered as one of the oldest sites in the Italian peninsula. The study has permitted to identify several reductions sequences and to bring to light some errors of interpretation because of the confusion between artifacts and geofacts leading to a new definition of the assemblage.
