Abstract
This polished axe has been discovered formerly at Laplume (Lot-et-Garonne) but the definite location and the archaeological context are unknown. With regard to its large dimensions and particularly its exceptional weight (1510.8 g), this axe is one of the most important polished tools for the Neolithic period in Southern France.
