RésuméLa fin du Paléolithique moyen voit l’apparition des industries dites « de transition », qui surgissent alors que l’homme moderne pénètre en Europe. Ces industries de transition sont toutes issues d’un fond moustérien et fortement liées aux derniers Néandertaliens. Parmi ces industries, on trouve en Europe occidentale deux traditions caractérisées par des pièces à dos courbe : le Châtelperronien et l’Uluzzien. Deux grandes conditions ont été définies pour permettre une comparaison entre ces industries : une continuité chronologique et un lien géographique. Les données récentes permettent une nouvelle comparaison.
The end of the Middle Paleolithic sees the appearance of “transitional” industries, which emerge at the same moment as anatomical modern humans enter Europe. All these transitional industries come from a Mousterian background and are closely connected to late Neanderthals. Among these industries we find two traditions characterized by backed blade pieces in Western Europe: the Châtelperronian and the Uluzzian. Two big conditions have been defined to allow a comparison between these industries: a chronological continuity and a geographic link. The recent data allows a new comparison.
