Abstract
The article describes a remarkable episode of visiting Tomskaya Pisanitsa and its copying by a part of the academic unit of the Second Kamchatka-the Great Northern Expedition led by Johann Georg Gmelin in October 1734. It is suggested that the artist Johann Christian Berkhan made a sketch of the expeditionary group of J.G. Gmelin, which was sailing on boats from Kuznetsk to Tomsk, against the background of Tomskaya Pisanitsa.
