Abstract
⺠On the ten pièces esquillées from Sibudu Cave I found use-related micro-residues. ⺠The majority of the use-related micro-residues are animal remains. ⺠It is likely that the pièces esquillées in this study were used on animal material. ⺠It is likely that the pieces were tools or by-products that were used as tools.
