Abstract
Stepping Out provides an excellent tool with which to consider the effects of biogeography on patterns of morphology and questions of speciation since it is able to explicitly simulate the movement of populations. The methods described in this study are a powerful means of integrating diverse sources of data to increase understanding of prehistoric dispersals, and are suitable for long-term studies of regional population histories under alternative dispersal scenarios.
