Abstract
▶ We analysed single vehicle fatal rollover crashes in three Australian States. ▶ Rollovers accounted for 35% of all occupant fatalities in single vehicle crashes. ▶ Tripping was the main causes of rollovers with an average 1.2 full turns. ▶ Seatbelt use was less in rural crashes and crash severity greater. ▶ Head injury was the leading cause of death, followed by thoracic and spinal injury.
