Abstract
ⶠA New Zealand based nationwide online survey investigated drivers risk perception and engagement in cell phone conversation while driving. ⶠAttitudes towards legislation banning cell phone use while driving was also examined. ⶠTalking on a cell phone while driving was found to be common practice. ⶠDriver's mostly supported a ban on hand-held cell phone use, but not hands-free calling. ⶠDrivers were not fully aware of the risks associated with talking on a cell phone while driving.
