Abstract
â¶ Developed a straight-forward and easily adoptable citation-related reliability tool. â¶ A reliability analysis was developed to examine the compliance of underground coal mines with mine safety standards. â¶ The value of the methodology was examined using a stratified random sample of 31 mines. â¶ Compliance differences were identified among different size mines. â¶ Relative to safety compliance, the methodology discriminates poor-performing underground coal mines from good-performing ones.
