Abstract
▶ We examine preferences for a red light camera program with stated choice methodology. ▶ Results suggest an interaction between the violation fine and number of cameras used. ▶ Perceptions of red light cameras are strongly influenced by policy variables used. ▶ The variable interaction on perceptions is consistent with deterrence theory. ▶ Implications for accident prevention with the use of RLC programs are presented.
