Abstract
ⶠAnalysis of fatality risk in motorcycle collisions with roadside objects as compared to motorcycle collisions with the ground. ⶠBased on the most harmful event reported in a crash, motorcycle collisions with roadside objects were over 4 times more likely to be fatal than collisions with the ground. ⶠCollisions with roadside objects were more frequently identified as the most harmful event in motorcycle crashes involving a collision with both a roadside object and the ground than a collision with the ground.
